Student Advisory Coucil
Parents want to know what’s happening in their children’s education? School Advisory Councils (SAC) are intended to give parents an opportunity to advise the principal about what’s going on at school regarding policies and other school interests.
School Advisory Councils (SAC) bring partners together to make some decisions and solve problems in the best interest of student learning. All partners on the SAC have a voice in an advisory capacity, so that the needs of students are represented and the school is responsive to the community it serves..Members also get updates on upcoming advents, classroom activities and Student Support Planning.
The fundamental purpose of the SAC is to ensure that all students receive the best possible learning opportunities by engaging partners in an ongoing process of problem solving, shared decision making and being an advisor to the principal.
